The Arts Centre
Celebrate Matariki with talented artists from Otautahi and beyond at the Arts Centre. Across the month of July there’s events and workshops for all ages and interests including a Family Explorer Zone, Stargazing and Putiputi Making. — Event Details
An independent charity, the Arts Centre belongs to the people of Canterbury and is held in trust for them as a place for arts, culture, education and creativity.
In addition, the Great Hall, Rutherford's Den and The Gym are available for hire.
One of the most significant clusters of heritage buildings in New Zealand, the Arts Centre is looking for more people to join its growing community.
The restoration and repopulation of the site has created a golden opportunity to create an unparalleled hub of creative entrepreneurs in the heart of Christchurch.
