SCAPE Public Art
‘Tree Houses for Swamp Dwellers’ by Julia Morison is one of the city’s most intriguing pieces of public art. It incorporates light and plant forms, creating spaces within itself that invite reflection and play.
SCAPE Public Art is moving from its biennial model to annual, six-week seasons of Public Art from 1 October to 12 November, launching new works and showcasing the extensive current catalogue of major public artworks.
The 2016 SCAPE Public Art Season incorporates school holidays and the New Zealand Cup and Show Week celebrations. Heather Galbraith has been appointed as Managing Curator, the role extending over three annual seasons through to 2018.
