Colony
Colony New Zealand proudly provide a unique range of honey liqueurs & mead, pure and infused honey, natural skincare, candles and gifts.
In 1868, brothers Johan and Lars Hansen established their first general store in Thames after years of toiling in Central Otago’s Bendigo goldfields. Each generation of descendants has continued their proud tradition of supporting locals and visitors with quality New Zealand-made products.
Colony of New Zealand represents five generations of Kiwi heritage in a boutique store. With four generations of beekeeping we proudly provide a unique range of honey liqueurs & mead, pure and infused honey, natural skincare, candles and gifts. Well known among foodies, we encourage tastings in-store and are continually innovating with new products from the Colony Kitchen.
Join our Colony and find your new favourite taste or a special gift, and share New Zealand’s heritage story.
