Oi Manawa Earthquake Memorial
The Canterbury Earthquake National Memorial is the Crown's official memorial for those killed or seriously injured in the 22 February 2011 Christchurch earthquake. It is located on both sides of the Avon River downstream from the Montreal Street bridge.
Oi Manawa Canterbury Earthquake Memorial is a place for people to reflect on the devastating 2010 and 2011 Canterbury earthquakes and their far reaching impacts.
It pays respect to those who lost their lives, those who were seriously injured and survivors. The memorial also acknowledges the shared trauma and the support received during the response and recovery that followed.
